Why we started CGP

The gap we kept seeing

The same ceiling, over and over — in founder-led shops and lean executive teams alike.

We met years earlier at the same technology solutions provider, working the same side of the enterprise-technology business before going our separate ways — Dan into partner sales leadership, most recently building the North American sales strategy for an international partner; Jon into strategic accounts, before a short-lived retirement.

We kept coming back to the same conviction: sales and delivery only produce real growth when they work in harmony — and most organizations run them as two separate worlds. CGP is our answer: a practice that leads with empathy, prioritizes people and relationships, and treats the revenue engine as one connected system.

And we prove it before we ask you to commit — we'd rather show you how we work on something real than hand you a sales deck. We're building a small founding group of clients we partner with closely, and on preferred terms, as we launch. We're looking for organizations that believe in us the way we believe in them.

The partners

Two operators, not a consulting bench

You work directly with the people whose names are on the door — no handoff to junior staff.

DP
Dan Patnode
Partner

Dan Patnode has spent more than a decade in enterprise technology sales, owning strategic account portfolios for Fortune 500 clients across financial services, insurance, healthcare, and manufacturing. His work runs the length of the modern transformation agenda — infrastructure modernization, cloud and multi-cloud, data and AI, software engineering, and security — inside the most heavily regulated industries, where the cost of getting it wrong is highest.

He sells from the business back, not the technology out: partnering with CIO, CDO, CFO, and line-of-business leaders to turn sprawling transformation themes into concrete initiatives with success metrics and a value case they can defend — then pulling together the internal and partner teams to deliver them. It's the conviction behind CGP — that sales works best as a strategic function tying technology to a measurable outcome. Dan and Jon first worked together years earlier at the same multibillion-dollar solutions provider; at CGP, Dan brings the enterprise commercial lens: how growing organizations turn customer relationships into durable, expanding revenue.

JB
Jon Braught
Partner

Jon spent his career at a $3 billion value-added reseller and network solutions provider, as a Presidential Club rep on strategic healthcare and oil & energy accounts. He moved more than $200M in IT products — primarily Microsoft, with a deep networking, server, and storage background — and built and led a team inside the business responsible for $20M+ a year across direct reps, technical staff, and sales engineers.

He stepped away in 2022 to play music and serve on boards championing the arts in New Hampshire's Monadnock region — and stepped back in to build CGP. Here, he turns that enterprise experience into the recommendations and deliverable design behind each engagement, working hand in hand with Dan. He's at his best on the complex problems: the ones that need deep thought and patient untangling.

What we believe

The principles we won't break

These aren't preferences — they're the constraints we run the practice by.

Value obsession

Prove it, then claim it

We prove our value before you commit. If we can't measure it, we don't claim it.

Premium by design

We over-deliver on purpose

We're not the cheapest. We're the ones who show the result before the invoice.

Radical honesty

Straight talk, operator to operator

No stealth outreach, no spin, no anonymized pitches. If it's not true, we don't say it.

Start with proof, not a proposal.

We open with substance, not a sales deck — see how we work before you commit to anything.
